๐๐ซ๐ ๐ฒ. ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐๐๐ฌ๐, ๐๐๐๐๐ฅ๐๐จ๐ง, ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฏ๐ ๐๐๐ข๐ฃ๐ โ Residents of Brgy. Calabasa received free medical and dental care through a successful joint medical mission conducted by the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) and the Rotary Club of Cabanatuan West. The event was held in celebration of NEUST’s 27th Charter Anniversary and 117th Founding Anniversary, reaffirming the shared commitment of both organizations to serve the community.
The medical mission aimed to provide essential healthcare services to one of the underserved communities in Nueva Ecija. Residents were given free consultations, medicines, dental services, and eye care, helping address some of their most pressing health concerns.
NEUST University President and Rotary Club of Cabanatuan West Honorary Rotarian Dr. Rhodora Jugo graced the event alongside Atty. Bembol DL. Castillo, Vice President for Finance and Administration, and Dr. Margarita Belinda V. Gamilla, University Physician Head.
Their presence underscored the importance of extending support to communities in need. Barangay Captain Isagani Sibayan and his team of barangay officials also actively supported the project, ensuring that the event ran smoothly and that all residents were properly assisted.
The medical team, composed of dedicated professionals from the Rotary Club of Cabanatuan West, was led by Club President Clark Sarmenta. He expressed his deepest gratitude to the team of doctors who selflessly shared their expertise and services for free, making the mission a resounding success.
The remarkable Rotary medical team included three dentists, one OB-GYN specialist, one ophthalmologist, and one internal medicine doctor:

President Clark Sarmenta praised the doctorsโ generosity and dedication, stating, “We are incredibly grateful for the time, effort, and expertise our doctors provided. Their commitment to service and their willingness to give back to the community truly embodies the spirit of Rotary.”
Aside from medical and dental services, the team also distributed 100 pieces of reading glasses to help those with vision problems and provided 20 boxes of multivitamins (each containing 100 capsules) to help improve the health and immunity of the residents.
“This is what true service is aboutโreaching out to communities and making a meaningful impact,” Sarmenta added. “Through this medical mission, we hope to make a positive difference in the lives of the people of Brgy. Calabasa.”
