Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija – July 1, 2025 — The Rotary Club of Cabanatuan West successfully launched the new Rotary Year with a heartwarming community outreach event at San Isidro Integrated School in Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija. As part of its signature service initiative, “Yapak Para sa Bata,” the club distributed 150 pairs of school shoes to young learners, bringing smiles and comfort to children in need.
This project, held in partnership with Navarra Nation Nueva Ecija Chapter, served as the club’s first major service activity under the new leadership—marking a fresh start filled with purpose and compassion.
The Yapak Para sa Bata program is a long-running charitable campaign by the Rotary Club of Cabanatuan West, rooted in the belief that every child deserves to walk confidently toward their dreams. Through the simple yet impactful act of providing proper footwear, the program aims to uplift underprivileged students by supporting their health, dignity, and education. Since its inception, the initiative has already benefited more than 6,000 children across Nueva Ecija and nearby provinces.
In addition to the shoe donation, the club also provided refreshments and supplemental feeding to the students during the event—ensuring not just a gift of shoes, but also a day of joy, nourishment, and community care.
Rotary Club of Cabanatuan West remains committed to its motto, “Service Above Self,” and continues to change lives—one step at a time. @everyone
