Rotary Clubs Unveil Wash Facilities in Nueva Ecija.
Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija – In a significant effort towards improving sanitation, hygiene, and safe drinking water in Nueva Ecija, the Rotary Club of Cabanatuan West has successfully completed the turnover of two wash facilities. The inaugural ceremony, held last April 10, 2024, marked a collaborative effort between various stakeholders dedicated to fostering community development.
The first wash facility, located at Dr. A. Oliveros Elementary School in Santa Rosa, Nueva Ecija, and the second at Bagong Buhay Elementary School in Palayan City, promises to address critical hygiene and safe water resources in these areas.
Led by Joshua Salvador, President of the Rotary Club of Cabanatuan West, the turnover ceremony witnessed the presence of Rotary partners such as President Marilyn Baldivas of the Rotary Club of Meycauayan Uptown, Project Head Sandie San Diego, alongside school officials, PTA members, and representatives from both clubs. The event culminated with the signing of a mutual agreement, solidifying the commitment of all parties involved.
The realization of this event was made possible through the generous support of sponsors including the Rotary Club of Meycauayan Uptown, Inner Wheel Club of Meycauayan Uptown, Rotary Club of Cabanatuan West, E-Club of Action Star in Korea, as well as Rotary International Districts 3770 (Philippines),District 3600 (Korea) and the Rotary Club of Cabanatuan West local service partner Asia Brewery Incorporated for providing refreshments for the volunteers to the program.
Speaking on behalf of the participating organizations, President Salvador expressed optimism regarding the enduring impact of the project. “We hope that these wash facilities will serve as catalysts for improved hygiene practices among learners, ensuring a healthier and safer environment for years to come,” he remarked.
The completion of these wash facilities not only underscores the commitment of Rotary clubs towards community welfare but also exemplifies the power of collaboration in effecting positive change. Together, we save Lives.
